High-voltage Dead Tank circuit breakers with spring mechanism and internal SF6 insulation for outdoor installation in networks with voltages from 72.5 to 800 kV. The operation of SF6 switches is based on driving the mechanism using springs, which are wound using a motor drive, and also, in the absence of operating voltage or emergency situations, manually. High-voltage Dead Tank circuit breakers built on this type of drive are capable of performing various functions of interrupting current (load) in various electrical networks and are rightfully considered one of the most reliable.
Tank-type SF6 circuit breakers are capable of absorbing the significant rate of current rise resulting from short-term power line faults, as well as high peak loads arising from asynchronous switching. Small inductive or capacitive currents, such as the charging current of an overhead or cable power line, the charging current of capacitor banks, the magnetizing current of a transformer or shunt reactor, are interrupted without any overvoltage.
Another advantage of this type of switches is the presence of built-in current transformers. This solution allows you to significantly reduce the construction area of substations due to its compact dimensions.
