Live Tank circuit breakers (SF6) 110...800 kV

Live tank circuit breaker with spring drive and internal SF6 insulation for outdoor installation in the network with voltage from 72.5 to 800 kV. The operation of SF6 circuit breakers is based on setting the mechanism in motion with the help of springs, the winding of which is carried out using a motor drive, and also, in the absence of operational voltage or emergency situations, manually. High-voltage circuit breakers built on this type of drive are capable of performing functions of interrupting the current (load) in various electrical networks and are rightfully considered one of the most reliable. In the arc chutes of column circuit breakers, an auto-compression method is used to extinguish the arc that occurs during shutdown, which ensures high operational reliability and stability of the operation of power lines and the power system.

Column-type SF6 circuit breakers are capable of damping a significant rate of current rise due to short-term power line faults, as well as high peak loads arising from non-synchronous switching. Small inductive or capacitive currents, such as the charging current of an overhead or cable transmission line, the charging current of capacitor banks, the magnetizing current of a transformer or shunt reactor, are interrupted without any overvoltages.

Switches comply with IEC, GOST, ANSI standards

By design, SF6 high-voltage circuit breakers, depending on the application, are divided into two types:

  • Circuit breakers with three-phase control (with one common drive). This type is widely used on power lines with three-phase automatic reclosure;
  • Switches with single-phase control (with three drives separately on each phase). This type is widely found on power lines with a single-phase reclosing and for metallurgy.

The SF6 column circuit breaker consists of three main parts:

  • Pole with porcelain or polymer outer insulation, consisting of a support insulator and an arc chute;
  • Spring drive;
  • Frame and support legs
