Solid insulated busduct systems B-SIS®

The B-SIS® phase-insulated busduct with cast resin insulation is designed for connecting or bridging power equipment at power plants, transformer substations, and other energy facilities. B-SIS® busduct system with solid insulation are installed in three-phase alternating current circuits with a frequency of 50 or 60 Hz and voltages up to 110 kV, rated currents up to 6300 A, and in direct current circuits with a rated current of 8000 A.
The B-SIS® busduct system is designed to withstand seismic loads of up to 9 on the MSK-64 scale at an altitude of up to 10 m, or 8 on the MSK-64 scale at an altitude of up to 25 m.

BUSDUCT COMPOSITION AND DESIGN

The B-SIS® solid busduct system consists of sections of various configurations (straight or curved) no longer than 12 meters, connecting sleeves (joining sleeves), busbars, and expansion flexible joints for connection to electrical equipment. According to the technical specifications, the IPB busduct may be equipped with current transformers, voltage transformers, disconnectors, surge arresters, external or internal installation (depending on the busduct system installation environment). The list of SIS busduct components is determined by the design and project documentation developed for a specific facility.

Depending on the current carrying capacity, the conductive portion of the B-SIS® busducts may be copper or aluminum, with a circular cross-section and multilayer RIP insulation consisting of an insulating layer, semiconducting layers, and a grounding layer. The thickness of the insulation, made from a special compound, depends on the voltage class of the conductor.

MAIN TECHNICAL PARAMETERS

  • Rated voltage from 3.3 to 126 kV
  • Rated current up to 8000 A
  • Rated thermal withstand current (Ith) up to 100 kA/1 or 3 s
  • Rated dynamic withstand current (Idyn) up to 250 kA
  • Class E insulation temperature rise: 80 K (maximum temperature: 120 °C)
  • Partial discharge level: no more than 5 pC at 1.2 Um
  • Dielectric loss factor (tanδ): no more than 0.007 at 1.05 Um/√3, increasing by no more than 0.001 when changing voltage from 1.05 Um/√3 to Um. Environmental conditions: Temperature range from -60° to +55°
  • Complies with IEC 60137 or equivalent standards

BUSDUCT SECTIONS CONNECTION

Individual busduct sections are connected using expansion flexible joints, which allow for the linear expansion of the conductor due to temperature changes and construction errors. The connection is placed inside a special connecting sleeve (join sleeve), which has reliable insulation and sealed flanges on both ends.

ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT

Depending on the technical specifications, the B-SIS® busduct system can be equipped with additional electrical equipment:
